The GUIDE to setting up PST 7.2.3 to work.
With so many people needing to know how to set up PST the right way and get connected.
This is an Update to NevarDeaths Guide to get connected.
This is a detailed guide to make things work with these CDMA phones.
The V3c, V3m, L7c, and the K1m
What you will need.
Google for PST 7.2.3/PST 7.2.5
Google for the pst_uni_patch (PST Universal Patch)
Hack the razor has the self installing driver pack for the CDMA Moto's here :Admin edit: Warez removed : Admin edit:
Get P2k Commander
You will start out with these 3 files

Unzip the driver installer and PST

Next run the Motorola driver install

After the driver set up is complete you can install PST.
Open the PST folder you extracted.

Run the PST install and then reboot.

Ok we have gotten this far.
Now Navigate to where PST is located.
C:/> Program Files> Motorola > PST
It should look like this.

Now grab the pst_uni_patch and copy it to the PST folder.

Next run the PST patch. You will need to hit the Next button till it turns into Finish. Then you are done with that part.

Now Plug in your phone to your box.
XP will start the New Hardware Wizard. Install the modem driver.
Now start PST with your phone plugged in.

Now XP will toss you more New Hardware Wizards at you. Because you have already installed the driver pack all you need to do is let Windows search for the drivers automatically.
XP will do this 3 more times. Just keep going till you have done them all automatically for:
Accessories Interface
Data Logging MCU Interface
Test Command Interface
When finished PST will look like this when running and the phone connected.

Now Time to work on P2k Commander.
Make a new folder named P2k

Then extract the P2k in the folder

With PST running in the back ground and your phone connected start P2k

Select P2K Mobile Phone in the far right drop down list.

It should Read your phone bringing up a folder named "a"

This should take about 20 minutes to do.Last edited by Village Idiot; 08-12-2007 at 08:13 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Are you using the MultiFlashFlex program that is With In the PST folder?
I read your post a little closer. Go to your PST folder and you will see the MultiFlashFlex program in there. Start that and you should be able to flash your phone. You don't even have to put your phone in Bootloader mode. MultiFlashFlex will place your phone in Bootloader mode on its own.
It sounds like you were trying to flash your phone through P2k Commander. That will not work.Last edited by Village Idiot; 08-13-2007 at 03:00 PM.

@ Village Idiot....
The reason that M3 doesn't have the self installing CDMA driver is because it's warez. The only place that you can legally download this file is at motodev. It's illegal to download this file anywhere else.
You can link to Motodev if you wish.
Thanks.

Heya, how exactly do I install the modem driver?
I get the new hardware popup window, but I have no idea where I'm supposed to point it to as whenever I try to do the automatic search it comes up empty.

Dude, go register with MotoDev and log in.
Then change the web address to http://motorola-global-en-uk.custhel...16&p_topview=1 and get the drivers. 32 and 64 bit.

Seriously? Very strange.
I've never registered and those two links work for me here in the US.
From a PC that has never been to www.motorola.com before, on a different ISP and network; even through a proxy server in the EU.L7c USCC

The link by vhpl54 (post #9 in this thread) for the 32-bit drivers worked just fine for me. I didn't have to log in anywhere for it to work (other than here, of course).
