RAZR V3m ~ Repairable or Paper Weight

Right before Christmas my RAZR V3m died. The screen turned blue and had BOOTLOADER USB INIT across the bottom. Motorola said my phone needs to be flashed in order to repair it. With my provider, Ntelos, I was only two months from the end of my contract. Therefore, I renewed my contract and walked away with a new phone. However, I kept my old phone instead of letting Ntelos dispose it or repair it for resale.

I have no idea what to do in terms of flashing. If I could I would only be interested in bringing the phone back to life regardless of which carriers software I would need to accomplish this goal. Due to the fact that this phone is a .mp3 player I would like to use it as one.

Can anyone get me past the blue screen and headed in the right direction? If so, please be complete and thorough in the steps I need to carry out. Or, should I just use the phone for a paper weight?

Moved to CDMA. The v3x GSM phone is a different model. You would have been overlooked there.

Please do not kiss, or lick, the Monitor.
