    z9 sound help

    hello all. and thank you for helping me with this if you can..i have a motrola z9(at&t) and i cant get any sound. i can go threw all the audio types(silent..viberate..ring and viberate..ect) and it has no sound...theres a symobol in the top right corner nxt to the audio profile that looks like a speaker with a slash threw it..how do i fix this?

    In addition to what Russo posted, also check the ring style's detail. The Ring Volume generally should be 7 for loud and Ring & Vibe; 5 for soft and Ring then Vibe. If they're down at 0, it won't sound.

    ok...it is on loud and the detail is on 7...and i can hear out of the ear piece..but the external speaker doesnt work?

    The external speaker only works for media, ringing when the BT is set to phone & headset or just phone (default is headset only) or if the speakerphone is active. If you are not getting any sound then, you may need to mod the audio_cg file, however you may want to pay extra special attention to the guides on this site as it can be touchy. If the settings are correct on the file, theen it may just be the external speaker is blown and needs replacing. (By the way, sorry for taking so long, had personal things to resolve.)
