    Help with Unlock G1/HTC Dream

    Hi forum members,

I recently received a gift from a relative in Canada which so happens to be the HTC Dream, but I soon found out that it was locked to the Rogers network. I'm trying to get it to work with the T-Mobile network. So how do I perform a hard unlock on the phone? I already have the IMEI#.

If that relative can call Rogers, they might be able to get the unlock code from them, or you will have to purchase it. Google will have lots of results for that.
Thanks Sublime1184 for the awesome siggy

as MotoMudder says, the best way would be to get the code directly from Rogers network. either you or your friend must be an active client for a minimum of 90 days to recieve such a service from Rogers.

that being said, there are numerous sites that offer IMEI unlocking for a fee. be careful to choose a reputable site if choosing to go this way.

im not making any recommendations, but HERE is an example of such a site. i have never used them myself, so check out several different ones before making a choice

    welcome to MMM
