[GT540] SwiftDroid - CyanogenMod 7 (Android 2.3.3) by Mur4ik
CyanogenMod 7 Final = SwiftDroid 2.0

What works:
Wi-fi, FM-radio, Bluetouth, camera (video recording 3gp/m4v - it is mp4), 3D-accelerator, GPS, aGPS, sensors, memory card, touch .... well etc.
What doesn't:
Hardware-accelerated DivX / Xvid (solved with RockPlayer)
All sorts of wireless headsets
There never will be adobe flash (full)
What is missing:
Screen calibration
Connection with LG PC Suite
Installation:
Download for Fastboot: SwiftDroir2.0Code:fastboot -w fastboot erase system fastboot erase boot fastboot flash system system.img fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot reboot
Download for Recovery: SwiftDroir2.0 (ClockworkMod 3.0.2.4)
Recovery: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13234825/rec....1.3_swift.img
Gapps:
gapps gb 20110120 signed zip
Rename to gapps.zip and put on SD, it will auto install during starting the phone.Last edited by ZduneX25; 04-23-2011 at 02:48 AM. Reason: new version

Okay, I'm probably going to get told off for this, but could somebody help me through the process? I have no clue as to how I'd go about this.
I would be so grateful for somebody's help.
Thanks in Advance,
Liam

No, I tried going into fastboot earlier yesterday (I was told to shut off the device, turn it back on, and as soon as I feel the vibration, hold down the camera button, and it should take me into fastboot after the LG logo. - this didn't happen, even after multiple attempts, so my assumption is that Fastboot isn't enabled?)
In short, no.

Here you go: ROMs with fastboot install one of them using KDZ.
How to use KDZ is share there: Upgrade your GT540 to 2.1 (read Clarkey's and my posts)Z.d.u.n.e.X's Stuff: Personal Site | My skins | Android Stuff's

Which one would I use? I live in Australia, locked to Vodafone (if that makes a difference?)
Thanks for your help

Doesn't matter which one you will pick, cos when you finally will get fastboot and you will flash ROM 2.3 old rom will be erased.

Oh I see your post from that thread that has the Australian ROM:
ROM Australian: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata...00/V20C_00.kdz
So from my understanding, I follow the guide you linked to, using that ROM, and then I'll have Fastboot enabled, correct?
Oh, okay, so don't use the Australia one from the above link I posted?Last edited by mymymob; 03-25-2011 at 02:30 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Oh, okay. I'll download the one you just recommended from 4shared then

After I've done all that, and followed the guide you linked to, what would I do afterwards?
(I'm sorry these are repetitive, newbish questions)

Look for KDZ software, cos programs like this aren't welcome/allow in here. So use google you can type KDZ_ENG, but read this post before: Upgrade your GT540 to 2.1
Have you installed any other 2.1 rom so far??Last edited by ZduneX25; 03-25-2011 at 02:37 AM.
