[Rom] Adlxmod 2.1.5-5 for Motorola Cliq/Dext

[adlx]

This rom is first a consolidation of all the patches, quick fixes, kernels,... that came with adlxmod 2.1.5-2. It has all the things my previous roms brought to you, plus...

...It is fully deodexed, so now you can theme this rom as you wish! It also comes with a patch to have a black notificaion bar & white clock. Apply it and see if you like it. If you don't like it, flash the white bar patch to have it back :-). It's a la carte!

This is the first fully deodexed rom I publish for the Cliq/Dext. I hope you will like it have this new posibility of theming, and that you will publish great themes to apply on top of it :-D.

Also, YES, even if you come from 2.1.5-2, YOU HAVE TO WIPE. I know this is a hassle for you, so my roms always come with Titanium Backup, so you can backup all your apps & data before wiping, and then restore them in the new rom version.

How to overclock?

The rom support overclocking, but it is not enabled by default. To enable Overclocking, only if you want it, install SetCPU, which can be found for free on the author post at XDA. Start SetCPU, and change the max frequency to the one you want. If you find that a frequency isn't stable for you, try a lower one. It seems that the maximum stable frequency isn't the same fro all phones. You can enable "Set on boot" option.

Known issues:

Here are some issues (with solution) that some few of you have (they DO NOT affect the majority of the users, just some of them, except for the RadioFM):

• Issue 60: Unable to change Timezone
• Issue 68: Language Settings do not "stick"
• Issue 71: Wifi issues, see also http://modmymobile.com/forums/403-mo...ml#post4070583
• Radio FM doesn't produce sound (no fix for that yet)

Q&A:

Q: Why 2.1.5-5? What happened to 2.1.5-3 and 2.1.5-4?
A: 2.1.5-3 was once pushed to testers, but was not that succesfull. 2.1.5-4 was too close a name to 2.1.54 (my CliqXT rom), so I chose to skip it :-)

I do not understand what the wifi and 2G/3G networks. Can not be connected to a 2G/3G network if ever I have the wifi enabled? or like something

When using power option to turn wifi on I got no other button to select except to shut down only during the setup process.
I then skip the moto setup option,trying to enable wifi in the wireless config still will not enable, I even try the power option mode wifi still will not enable at all.
Does any one having the same issue.

I've added some info about OC on the first post. Yes OC is already in the rom's kernel, but you have to enable it using SetCPU.

In Motoblur setup, press menu, there should be an option to jump to wireless settings. There you can enable wifi (or turn it enabled, even if it fails). If it fails to enable correctly the wifi, reboot the phone and try again.

Thanx, thanx and a lot of thanx (although I was waiting since yesterday thanks to twitter). I've downloaded and flashed the rom and the dark bar patch after, as usual, a "wipe all".

-First boot time: 6 minutes.
-Blur configuration omitted (yes, I have that habit cause saves a lot of battery and I only need synchronization through google)
-GMail started and google account sign in. After that synchronization of contacts, mails and calendar done through 3G (working ok).
-Switch on Wifi and it detects all the wifi points. Password input for my office's wifi and get connected.
-Market ok. Terms accepted and Twicca downloaded.
-Titanium Backup working and restoring my apps.
-Installing gReader Pro, Twicca, GameBoid and all working fine.
-Amount of free RAM showed by Advanced Task Manager is not very high (but it's more or less the same than in previous versions of this Rom).

During today and tomorrow I'll get more information as battery life, overheating (I hope no) and stability (I'm sure it will be so stable as previous versions).

By the way, Adlx, what min and max have you configured for cpu speeds? Have you tested the max ºC reached by the phone at full processing? Sorry, I was writing and testing when you answered to other posts.

Thanks again for this new release, I love the dark bar and its icons.

Only one question, Adlx, do you recommend to OC or not? Don't worry, I won't blame you of nothing. I only want to know your opinion. Thanks.
